Registration Attendant

  • Set up registration area
  • Stuff Bags with materials for conference
  • print and assemble name badges
  • Process on-site registrations and collect payment if necessary
  • Hand out goody bags, convention programs, and name badges
  • Direct and provide general information on the day’s event
  • Direct Guest speakers and VIP’s

Greeters/ Ushers

  • Greet attendees
  • Answer any questions attendees may have regarding location or agenda for the day’s event
  • Help attendees find seats, encourage them to move in as the workshop rooms fill
  • Close the doors once the session has begun and most people have made it into the room
  • Be attentive and available throughout the workshop in the event a speaker needs something during their session
  • Walk the aisles periodically to see if exhibitors/ vendors need anything

Vendor booth attendant

  • Set up vendor booth tables
  • primary responsibility -make sure the vendors ‘s booth is not left unattended
  • Pass out samples or give description or product or service vendor has
  • Process payments for the vendors products
  • Take names and email addresses for attendees interested in product

Floor manager

  • Responsible for timekeeping for event
  • Deal with unexpected problems.

Venue technician

  • Equip speaker with microphone
  • Connect and disconnect laptop to monitor or projector
  • liaison between the presenters/session moderators by providing assistance with audiovisual equipment if a problem arises
  • troubleshoot any problems and make any needed repairs to get the equipment up and running as quickly as possible

 Microphone runners

  • Brings a microphone to attendees who want to ask a question during Q & A session

Party Services-

  • Provide licensed Bartenders that carry liquor liability coverage
  • Assist with setup and teardown decorations
  • Pass appetizers
  • Serve food

How Can We Support You?

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find answers to some of the questions we've found are most asked about working with The Social Hostess. Click on each question to reveal answers and more. Still have questions about our services or our availability?  Please contact our office to speak with us at anytime.  We are your corporate event support all-star team.

The number is based on certain event details. Our qualified event planners will help you decide what will serve your guests the best and work within your budget.
The earlier the better, but we do take last minute requests. Our team is in highest demand during wedding season and holiday party time. Call and reserve your date as you are planning your event.
A $50 non refundable deposit is due prior to the scheduled event. This deposit will secure your event. Check, credit/debit card or money orders are all accepted forms of payment.
Our rates depend on the type of event, number and amount of support required. We have an hourly rate with a 4-hour minimum. Please call so we can provide you with the best information for your specific event.
As the host, you are ultimately responsible for your guests, even the ones who go away drunk. It is our job to practice responsible alcohol awareness. WE WILL REFUSE ALCOHOL SERVICE to anyone, who in our judgment, has had too much to drink. You will be notified throughout the course of the event of people whom we would suggest cutting off, so we can take proper action in finding them a ride home or a cab.
As an employer, we legally pay our servers using normal payroll system. Gratuity should not be included in the payment for our services and should be given to the employee directly.
Any tips and gratuities are at the sole discretion of the client.
Your server will collect a check from you at the end of the event for the total hours worked. Payment is accepted by check, cash, or cashier’s check. You can also set up a pre-payment using a credit card. Checks should be made out to: THE SOCIAL HOSTESS, LLC, not to the employee.
